I Thessalonians 3:12, 13
"And may the Lord give you more than enough overflowing sacrificial love towards each other and towards all people, just as we have for you." (I Thessalonians 3:12)
Paul wants them to have an excess of real love for each other and for others. He wants them to exhibit the same love that he has for them towards others.
"This will settle your hearts that you may be without blame in holiness before God even our Father at the arrival of our Lord Jesus with all his dedicated ones." (I Thessalonians 3:13)
Paul's hope was that these Christians would stand before the Lord at his return with pure hearts, holy hand and without blame. We should hope this for ourselves. Living according to an excess of love will result in this.
