Eternally Condmened

"But even if we or a messenger out of heaven may proclaim good news to you different from what we did proclaim to you -- anathema let him be! As we have said before, and now say again, If any one to you may proclaim good news different from what ye did receive -- anathema let him be!" (Galatians 1:8,9, Young's Literal Translation)

The false teachers may have been saying that Paul had changed his teaching after he left Galatia. They may also have charged Paul with adjusting his teaching to his audience. Paul states that if he did this, he would be cursed of God!

If Paul himself comes to Galatia and preaches a Gospel different from what he had preached before, they were to reject him and his message. If an angel or messenger from heaven preached another gospel, they were to reject it. If these teachers among them now were teaching another gospel, they were to reject it. Paul puts a curse upon any such teacher. In case, the Galatians thought he did not mean it, Paul repeats the curse.

Those who teach a false way of salvation are devoted to destruction. Such teaching makes Christ’s work of no value. It blinds people to the only way for them to escape hell. It takes glory away from God. Any man, woman or angel that teaches such falsehood is cursed of God!

We are not to judge a person’s message based on how popular it is. We are not to judge a ministry based upon miracles and wonders. We are to judge the message and the ministry based upon the truth of the Word of God.
